type of investors does Early Capital work with?
A: Early Capital’s investor network is composed of VCs, investment
bankers, corporate investors, and other institutional accredited investors.
Q: Is
Early Capital a VC or an Incubator?
A: We are not a venture capital firm and we do not function as an
incubator.
Q: How
do I submit my business plan to Early Capital without an NDA?
A: Early Capital will share information on business proposals exclusively
with its broker/dealer affiliate and investor members. If the intellectual
property of your company is unsecured, we recommend you retain the appropriate
legal counsel to secure the intellectual property. As matter of general
policy, Early Capital does not sign Non-Disclosure Agreements.
Q: Am
I trapped in an exclusive agreement if I decide to use Early Capital?
A: No, working with Early Capital will not hinder your ability to raise
capital by other means, it merely opens new avenues to capital raising.
Q: What
is the sectoral preference of Early Capital?
A: In order to reflect the wide range of preferences of our member
investors, Early Capital is currently reviewing companies seeking funding
across all industrial sectors.
Q: How
long does the complete review process take?
A: Entrepreneurs can expect 30 days for the complete review process
to be completed.
Q: How
do I submit a business plan?
A: Early Capital accepts plans via electronic means. PPMs and business
plans may be submitted as an attachment (in MS Word and/or Adobe Acrobat
format) after completing a Company
Profile questionnaire.
Q: Can
Early Capital help me with my business plan or with my strategic consulting
needs? What about legal issues or other professional service needs?
A: Early Capital has identified several professional service providers
that are particularly adept and experienced with entrepreneurial issues.
If you need help with a qualified referral, please feel free to contact
us.
Q: How
is Early Capital compensated?
A: Our firm will be compensated for its efforts after a successful
capital raise is completed by a client company. No upfront fees are required
for capital matchmaking efforts.
Q: Does
Early Capital take part in any negotiations between member investors and
entrepreneurs?
A: No, Early Capital acts solely as a finder. Therefore, any and all negotiations
will take place between the accredited investors and the companies seeking
funding, and their respective agents and or representatives.
